JOB SUMMARY

The Welder is responsible for fitting and welding, steel & stainless-steel parts using MIG process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To use Mig welding equipment to Manufacture as required meeting defined production schedule
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and measurements
• Supply quality parts from fixtures and jigs
• Ability to weld stainless and carbon steel
• Work as part of a team and able to discuss arising issues with Supervisor
• Operate necessary equipment to perform tasks such as but not limited to drills, grinders and sanders.
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
• Ability to read blue prints
• Knowledge of various welding techniques specifically – MIG
• Knowledge of manual & mechanical welding techniques
• Attention to detail

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highschool diploma/GED – preferred
• 2+ years welding experience with steel
