If you own an older Steel Green machine, you’ve likely racked up a couple thousand hours and more than gotten your money’s worth out of it. We’re big fans of holding on to things as long as they’re in good working order, too. That said, if your machine is nearing the end of its service life, there are quite a few tangible updates on new machines that make them worth considering.

  1. Razor Tracking: We recently added Razor Tracking, an advanced telematics system, to all new machines. Whether you have one Steel Green or a whole fleet, Razor Tracking lets you monitor where your machines are, how they’re being used, and when they need attention in real-time. From proof of spray applications to maintenance tracking, it’s all right there in one platform. Plus, every new machine also comes with a free year of Razor Tracking service.
  2. Centralized Wiring System: The fuses are all in one place on all new machines, making it easier to install accessories. The ignition switch has also been updated to include an accessory position, which allows you to run your accessories without turning on the engine.
  3. Standard Pump Now Has Higher Flow: Old models have a 5.3 gallon-per-minute (GPM) pump with ¾” suction lines. New machines have a 6 GPM pump with 1” suction lines for more efficient applications.
  4. Improved Operator Platform: The operator platform is now longer and has a better suspension for ease of movement and comfort.
  5. Parking Brake: When you have to park on uneven surfaces or inclines, your Steel Green will stay put.
  6. Sealed Wheel Bearings: These wheel bearings require less maintenance and adjustment.
  7. Increased Liquid Capacity on SG46: The SG46 now has twin 25-gallon tanks, for a total liquid capacity of 50 gallons, compared to the previous version’s 30-gallon capacity.
