Transcript:

Hey guys, Kodi Quinlisk here with Steel Green Manufacturing. I had a couple different customers ask me to put together a little video on how to change out a drive belt. One of the things about our machine that does make it nice and you can do all your drive belt work from right here behind the machine.

So to do that, we have a couple three-eighths bolts here. We’ll take this one out, and that one and then the rest of it. We’ll go ahead and take these guys out. So, we do have to come around. I’ll go ahead and get the camera put under here.

So, we do have two bolts here from behind the machine. As you can see, they’re not in the cover. Ones here and ones over at the other side. Those you do have to take out from underneath the machine. We’re looking at making some changes there. Let me get that in position. We’re looking at trying to make some changes so you can access those from the back of the machine as well.

Let me come around here and get this one. These are three-eighths bolts. They’re quarter inch bolts that have a three-eighths head. Once you get those out, then this cover just pops right out of the back of the machine here. So, once you get the cover out of the way, you can retry it in. Take your three-eighths drive ratchet; it’ll go right in this tensioner bracket. So, you’ll spin your ratchet around. You’ll take the tension off the belt. You’ll find your belt on this pulley over here. It’s going to be the one in your left, to your left.

You’ll slip the belt just down off the pulley and you can let all the tension back off of it. So, if you go ahead and finish getting the belt off, you’re working off of that pulley. You may need to take the tension off just to move the idler away from the engine. And then once you slip it down off the engine, it just comes right out.

So, to kind of show you guys what it looks like from back here; all that can be done from right here. And then to put your belt back on, just go back through those processes. Put it up on your engine first, then you’ll kind of come around your tensioner pulley and then you’ll put it on your right hydro pump. The last one will be your left hydro pump. That way you can take the tension off the idler, hook it up there on the pump and then let go of it. So, hope that helps everybody out. Thanks.
