The Steel Green team is pleased to share that Opti-Rate, our advanced rate-controlled spray system, comes standard on all 2026 SGXL and SG54 machines.
We debuted Opti-Rate in May 2025 as an optional accessory, and since then, it’s helped many operators make the most of their applications. We’ve always been dedicated to giving our customers the best of the best, and that’s why we’ve made it a standard feature.
When our team was developing Opti-Rate with CapstanAG, we focused on the fact that uneven applications lead to wasted product and inconsistent results.
In short, Opti-Rate makes uneven applications a thing of the past by:
- Minimizing over- and under-application through pulse width modulation rate control technology, with the added benefit of turn compensation
- Independently controlling flow and pressure to maintain a uniform droplet size
- Letting you monitor and adjust your rate easily via an intuitive display
- Allowing you to slow down and take your time in tight areas, without the fear of burning turf
In addition to Opti-Rate becoming a standard feature, all 2026 SGXL and SG54 machines also feature a new spray tank design, which adds a lip to minimize spills and fill markings for precise readings.
